JUST PRESS ‘PIZZA’?

There are two key ingredients for a lazy night in: pizza and movies. Pizza Hut has found a way to provide both by developing new cardboard box that turns into a film projector powered by your smartphone. The pizza box comes with a ready to remove hole in its side, and the inside pizza holder includes a lens and doubles as a smartphone stand. Pizza Hut has cleverly printed a QR code on each box to download a free movie. There are four different new items on the menu too, with each corresponding to the genre of the free movie that comes with it: there‘s the Fully Loaded box for action movies, Slice Night for scary movies, Hot & Ready for your romance, and Anchovy Armageddon for the sci-fi fans.

TASTASTES LIKE GRANNY MAKES IT!

There are 4 million people over the age of 75 living alone in Romania. Vodafone saw this as a perfect opportunity to use social media to help lonely seniors connect with their community, as well as boost smartphone adoption. The telecommunications company led two widowed elderly Romanian women into the world of Facebook. From there, the women, who love cooking and no longer have large families to feed, created Sunday Lunch menus to share on Facebook, quickly connecting with college students who miss home-cooked meals. The site of the „Sunday Grannies“ has thus far garnered over 400,000 Likes on the social media platform.

FANCY ANYTHING FROM THE MINI (FASHION) BAR?

In hotel rooms in Antwerp, travellers can find a selection of fashionable styles and accessories instead of peanuts or sparkling wine. Pimkie recently launched the first Mini Fashion Bar aimed at forgetful fashionistas. The hotel staff ensure that the tiny `store` stocks various items so that their female clientele always find something for every occasion, day or night. Alternate sizes are a quick phone call away! The marketing idea from agency Happiness Brussels is so successful that it is now to be implemented in hotels in Milan, Barcelona, Berlin and Paris. All items can be worn immediately and paid for during check-out.
